American actress Kate Hudson was born on April 19, 1979 in Los Angeles, CA. She is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and actor Bill Hudson. Her parents divorced soon after her birth. Kate was raised by her mother and her long time companion Kurt Russell.
Hudson began acting in 1998. Her breakthrough role came in Almost Famous in 2000. Kate won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and received an Academy Award nomination for her performance.
