Ben Affleck Profile,Bio & Pictures 2011
Where: Berkeley, California, USA
Height: 6' 2"
Awards: Won 1 Oscar and 1 Golden Globe
Benjamin Geza Affleck was born on the 15th of August, 1972, in Berkeley, California, the family very soon moving to Cambridge, Massachusetts, a rich area of Boston, near the prestigious Harvard college. He has one brother, Casey, also an actor. His father, Tim, was an actor and director who'd worked and partied with such luminaries as Dustin Hoffman, and joined the Theatre Company Of Boston. His mother, Chris, was a schoolteacher, and would be the dominant parental figure in his life (she was his guest when he picked up his Oscar). But it was his dad's influence and connections that got him started in TV, VERY early in his life. He appeared in ads for Burger King before hitting double-figures and, by 12, had appeared as CT Granville in the cute and educative mini-series The Voyage Of The Mimi. At the age of 12 though, he suffered an emotional setback with the divorce of his parents. Tim had "a severe, chronic problem with alcoholism" which eventually broke the couple up. He left for the Recovery Centre in Palm Springs, got back on his feet, and now works counselling others in Rehab.

New Sport Koenigsegg CCR
Koenigsegg is an exclusive manufacturer of super sports cars, the latest being the Koenigsegg CCX with a performance speed of 403 km/h. The CC (Competition Coup) led by Koenigsegg is unlikely to be defeated in the near future. The McLaren F1 and Ferrari Enzo supercars still have to come a long way to prove superior in the squad of Production cars. The performance speed of McLaren F1 is 372 km/h and that of Ferrari Enzo is 355 km/h as per the results at Nardo/Prototipo.
Koenigsegg CCR is synonymous with speed. The engineering and design of this sports car substantiate this fact. The aerodynamic body and the lightweight chassis display the main purpose of the vehicle, the speed. The front bumper reminds you the cutting shark with pointed face and deep nostrils. The materials of the body are the lightweight carbon fiber compounds reinforced with Kevlar and aluminum honeycomb. These features ensure the complete safety along with the super speed even in extreme driving conditions. A feather-touch driving experience from Koenigsegg!
Koenigsegg CCR is specially designed considering the tastes of the sporty car customers. The low and broad appearance of the body adds a pleasant feeling of safety; added to this is the fashionably designed semicircular windscreen and organically shaped rear hood. Under roofless driving conditions, the hardtop can be turned to fit under the front bonnet. The whole chassis can be exposed when the hoods and the roof are open; this adds a lot of convenience while inspecting the body.
The most important feature of any sports car is the design of its body. Koenignsegg CCR's body is perfectly symmetrical adding a sense of equilibrium while driving. The gear lever is located at the center point of the supercar. All other important mechanisms are mounted around the steering so as to have a good control over them, and these instruments are visible from the upper spokes of the wheel avoiding unnecessary acrobatics while driving.
A lot more technological additions, such as the cutting edge brakes, new racing shock absorbers, CCR advanced throttle, a monocoque carbonfibre intake plenum, and 19" front wheels, etc., are applied to make Koenigsegg CCR the choice of the leaders.
New Sport Ford Focus: 40 MPG Expected From Stronger Base Engine
Ford has announced a few more details regarding the standard four-cylinder engine that will be under the hood of most, if not all, 2012 Ford Focus models. And there's truly something for everyone; the new engine has more power, is smoother, and goes farther on a gallon of gas than the engine it replaces.
The new 2.0-liter engine doesn't have jaw-dropping power and torque figures—a respectable 160 horsepower and 146 pound-feet—but thanks to the deployment of Ford's twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) and direct injection, it should be a good deal more flexible and responsive compared to the 140-hp, 136 lb-ft version that's currently in the focus.
Ti-VCT promises continuously variable—and quick—responses to changes in loads or driving styles by using a combination of engine oil pressure and electronically controlled solenoid valves.
What's even more impressive is the new Focus models' projected fuel economy: up to 40 mpg on the highway, according to Ford. Based on the automaker's record with the 2011 Ford Fiesta, this will likely come with the new six-speed DCT automatic transmission; a six-speed manual gearbox will be standard.
Flex-fuel capability will be built into the new engine from the start, with it capable of accepting gasoline blends with up to 85-percent ethanol (E85). Direct injection, with Denso high-pressure injectors, also helps permit this engine's high 12:1 compression ratio and compatibility with regular gas.
Ford says that it's taken special measures with this new engine to reduce friction yet reduce weight. Of course with the new Focus, as any of the automaker's recently redesigned or refreshed models such as the 2011 Ford Mustang or 2011 Ford F-150, you'll find electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), while the Focus employs so-called stretchy belt technology to eliminate the need for a belt tensioner. The alternator and water pump run on a separate decoupled belt that helps isolate vibrations, and the intake is entirely made of composites.
This won't be the only powertrain for the new 2012 Focus; both a Focus BEV electric vehicle and a higher-performance (yet still economical) EcoBoost (turbocharged and direct-injected) version of the Focus are in the works. Keep an eye out for more details as they emerge.
Ford dealerships are already taking orders for the 2012 Ford Focus, and deliveries will begin this coming winter.

New Sport TVR MD-1
TVR MD-1
Back in April we reported that TVR was preparing a new Corvette-engined model, and it seems that they have been quietly working on it ever since. Now that the model is taking a little more shape, Nikolai Smolenski, owner of the British sports car company, is back in the news providing more details for his comeback car.
The new model, called the MD-1, will be based on the Tuscan convertible and will be powered by a Corvette sourced 6.2 liter V8 engine with an output of 638 HP. From the Tuscan, the MD-1 will borrow the fabric hood and the windscreen, but all of the other elements of the car will be changed in order to make a "clear departure from TVR’s past."
"Production will be outsourced. We have received offers from Jimmy Prize in South Africa and plenty of others from England. [...] I would naturally prefer to work with firms such as Caterham or Lotus, but it’s unlikely that the former would be able to do it, and the latter wouldn’t represent good value for money. But it’s equally possible that I wouldn’t go back to the UK at all, and could set myself up somewhere in Germany," said Smolenski.
Next to the MD-1, TVR is also preparing a three-seat MD-2 that will be revealed a few years later. An MD-3 may also be in the works and will be "totally different and more imposing" according to Smolenski.
New Sport Audi TT RS
VLN is one of several operators who run the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring and the Audi TT RS SP 4T will be tested during the last two this year, 16 and 30 October. Drivers will be Marc Hennerici and Christopher Mies, who is running for the Austrian Team Raeder Motorsport. Audi and quattro GmbH have tried to keep costs down by using components from R8 LMS and do not alter the wheelbase. However, – as we see – a gauge of substantially broadened by at least said large wheel arch extensions. How much power is picked out of the 2.5-liter turbo fifth grade are not reported but probably put it on a “moderate” level to get good reliability.
New Sport 3 Car So Ferrari Marcedes And Lamborghini
Acura TL
Boasting larger dimensions, optimized suspension, a new Sequential SportShift transmission, plus an available Technology Package featuring a comprehensive array of navigation and communication aids, the 2009 Acura TL offers more appeal than ever before. Along with an available Acura/ELS Surround premium 10-speaker surround sound system and an all-new AcuraLink weather feature, the new Acura TL is by far the most technologically advanced sedan in Acura's history.
The combination of dramatic new styling, exhilarating performance and an extensive array of electronics (including AcuraLink real-time traffic and AcuraLink weather with Doppler-style radar mapping) ensures the 2009 Acura TL will appeal to a sophisticated, technology-savvy audience.
Powertrain
A choice of two different all-aluminum VTEC engines enables the new 2009 Acura TL to satisfy a wide range of customers. Standard is a 3.5-liter V-6 producing 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque that sends power to the front wheels through Acura's sophisticated Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel- mounted paddle shifters and Grade Logic Control. Though powerful, the new engine is also fuel efficient, with projected EPA fuel economy ratings of 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. The engine is targeted to meet California's tough CARB LEV II ULEV emissions certification standards, thanks to features including a Drive-by-Wire throttle system, Computer-Controlled Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) and Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) for the intake valves.
Serious performance-sedan devotees will choose the Acura TL SH-AWD to make winding roads their own. Its all-new 3.7-liter V-6 engine produces 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque courtesy of greater displacement and additional high-performance features like Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) on both the intake and exhaust valves, and a special high-flow dual exhaust system. With projected EPA fuel economy ratings of 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, the 3.7L is also targeted to meet California's stringent CARB LEV II ULEV emissions certification. The pièce de résistance on the Acura TL SH-AWD is the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, now available on the Acura TL for the first time.
During spirited cornering, SH-AWD seamlessly distributes more torque to the outside rear wheel to create a "yaw moment" to help the Acura TL turn in more quickly and precisely - while also continuously apportioning drivetrain torque front to rear and left to right. The result is a remarkably balanced and precise all-wheel-drive performance sedan that excels year-round, not just during inclement weather.
The Acura TL's performance achievements extend to durability, reliability and refinement as well. Both engines feature electronically controlled engine mounts to reduce engine noise, vibration and harshness (NVH); quiet and efficient Electric Power Steering (EPS) and maintenance-free serpentine accessory belt also boost operating refinement. A standard Maintenance Minder system and up to a 100,000-mile tune-up interval offer further time and cost savings for the Acura TL owner.
The standard transmission on the 2009 Acura TL and TL SH-AWD is a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic featuring F1-style steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters and Grade Logic Control. Merging the convenience of an automatic with the enjoyment of SportShift manual gear selection, the transmission also features an overdriven top gear for maximum fuel efficiency on the highway. In fact, the Acura transmission has the widest gear-ratio spread of any 5-speed transmission in its class, providing strong acceleration in lower gears and relaxed, fuel-efficient highway cruising.
Body/Chassis
Major improvements in structural engineering for the unit-body further define the 2009 Acura TL. The list of substantial changes begins with the relocation of frame rails inside (rather than underneath) the vehicle's floor pan, resulting in a nearly flat body underside. Benefits of this design include improved crash safety, a significant reduction in interior noise levels, and reduced aerodynamic drag that helps enhance fuel economy. Another significant improvement is the increased use of high-strength steel, which simultaneously improves the unit-body's overall strength while helping to reduce weight. For additional weight savings, aluminum is used for the hood, the front suspension subframe and rear suspension knuckles.
Ride quality and passenger comfort benefit from the 2009 Acura TL's larger exterior dimensions. Featuring 6.0 inches greater exterior length, 1.8 inches more overall width and a modest 0.5-inch increase in overall height, the Acura TL is noticeably larger than its predecessor.
The larger body size directly contributes to greater interior roominess; it also allows a 1.4-inch longer wheelbase to improve ride quality and a significantly wider track (1.1 inches wider in front, 1.8 inches wider in the rear) helps generate even more tenacious cornering power. The Acura TL employs a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link independent system in back.
Exterior/Interior
An evocative and powerful exterior body design dramatically advances the Acura TL's image as a performance luxury sedan. Designed by Acura in Southern California, the Acura TL utilizes an array of styling techniques to express motion - and emotion - even when the car is at rest. Featuring Acura's new signature front grille, body sides defined by strong character lines, sweeping C-pillars and new LED taillights, the 2009 Acura TL is simultaneously Acura and yet wholly unique. Plentiful use of luxury and performance features add visual appeal while adding to the Acura TL's vigorous statement - including bright HID projector-beam front headlights, pronounced wheel arches, a standard power moonroof and genuine stainless-steel body trim.
Wheels and tires are as expressive as the exterior styling. Standard on the 2009 Acura TL are 17-inch aluminum wheels with P245/50R17 all-season Bridgestone Turanza or available Michelin Pilot tires for confident year-round performance. The Acura TL SH-AWD comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels with lower-profile P245/45R18 Michelin Pilot tires for more agile handling. Finally, the Acura TL SH-AWD offers available 19-inch aluminum wheels with aggressive P245/40ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 summer tires for the ultimate Acura TL performance experience.
In keeping with its mission as a driver's car, the 2009 Acura TL interior features a new "dual personal" layout that provides both the driver and front passenger with their own personal space. Thanks to its larger exterior dimensions, the new Acura TL has 1.3 inches more rear legroom and 0.5-inch of added rear shoulder room compared to the previous generation Acura TL.
Safety
Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) represents a major advance in structural engineering for the 2009 Acura TL. In simple terms, ACE better dissipates crash energy in a severe frontal collision through the use of dedicated load-bearing frame structures that efficiently distribute crash energy through the body structure-while also helping to preserve the integrity of the passenger compartment. Acura first introduced ACE™ to the Acura line for the 2005 model year and its inclusion in the 2009 Acura TL means that every vehicle in the Acura model range now has this advanced safety engineering.
6 airbags and a new active head restraint system for the driver and front passenger headrests top the long list of passive safety features built into the new Acura TL. The airbag array includes dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, new dual-chamber front seat side airbags with front passenger seat Occupant Position Detection System, along with side-curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions. Additional passive-safety features include 3-point seatbelts and head restraints for all seating positions, driver and front passenger seatbelt load-limiters with an automatic tensioning system and a Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH) system that permits quick, secure attachment of up to two child seats in the rear seating area.
The new Acura TL includes sophisticated active safety features including powerful 4-wheel disc brakes (with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), all-season tires and an available SH-AWD system. Adding to the list of standard exterior safety features are daytime running lights (DRL) along with 2.5-mph front and rear bumpers.
The 2009 Acura TL is designed to meet the latest crash-safety regulations, including the new FMVSS214 side crash standards (which the TL meets three years early) and the new FMVSS301 rear crash standards. Internal testing indicates that the 2009 Acura TL should achieve the highest ratings in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests.

Exterior design
A flowing line from the tip of the front hood through the rear window, as well as the short rear overhang, highlight the agility of the car. Sweeping character lines on both sides and well calculated panel curves reflect light and shadow in harmony. Impreza's sporty image is stressed in all models by projected front fenders and rear quarters; standard roof-mounted spoilers that house LED brake lights; and LED rear combination lamps that comprise brake lights, directional lights and back lights. The 3-dimensional design of the projector headlamps expresses functionality.
The Interior design
Aluminum-look insets in the center panels through door trim add a sporty feel and airiness to the car. The vehicle information display, which constantly shows outside temperature, average mileage and time on the digital clock, as well as a navigation screen and audio display, are placed nearer the top of the dashboard for improved visibility and functionality. New urethane materials are used in the front seat cushions to better absorb vibrations during a ride. The driver's seat incorporates newly developed seatback springs that support the driver's back and hips to help maintain a comfortable driving position. When the ignition key is turned on, the needles of three meters in the instrument panel swing up to their maximums and quickly fall back to their original positions - A Subaru tradition that - gives a boost of excitement for the driver starting the car. The instrumental panel also comes with an Info-Eco Indicator that lights up when running on low fuel consumption to encourage mileage-conscious driving. Two interior colors are offered on the 15S and 20S models: an ivory tone that accentuates openness and light; and off-black, which highlights both sportiness and elegance.
Powertrain
1.5-liter DOHC engine (15S) and 2.0-liter SOHC engine (20S)
The equal length/constant pulsation independent exhaust system substantially elevates exhaust efficiency through reduced interference between cylinders, which helps deliver optimal torque in various ranges of speed. The Active Valve Control System (AVCS) hydraulically controls timing in the intake valves and helps to increase combustion efficiency and improve low-end torque on the 15S. Various parts of engine employs friction-reducing technologies, including lowered load in the valve springs, mirror-surface machining, and molybdenum coating on the valve lifters. Fuel economy and emission reduction are greatly improved on the 15S.
2.0-liter turbo engine (S-GT)
The Dual Active Valve Control System (Dual AVCS) hydraulically controls timing in both the intake and exhaust valves, which helps increase combustion efficiency and improve low-end torque, and ensures linearly responsive acceleration to depressed pedal movement. The equal length/constant pulsation independent exhaust system substantially elevates exhaust efficiency through reduced interference between cylinders, which helps deliver optimal torque in various ranges of speed.
A tumble generated valve (TGV) has been installed in the intake manifold, boosting combustion efficiency by controlling the intake flow. It improves efficiency particularly at the time of engine ignition. Also adopted is a secondary air system that forces air into the exhaust port to burn out any gasoline remaining in it. The system helps eliminate harmful substances when the powertrain is still cool, and it promotes early activation of a catalytic converter.
Chassis / Body
The lower center of gravity, enabled by the Boxer engine, has been enhanced by mounting the engine front 22 mm lower on the chassis, thereby further improving stability. The strut-type front suspension is supported by newly designed front cross members. Employing box-shaped steel tubing, the new cross members further support the suspension, as well as improve crash worthiness. Thanks to these high-strength cross members, subframe parts have been largely eliminated, making the front floor section much lighter and enabling better handling and improved maneuverability. The newly designed double-wishbone rear suspension effectively absorbs shocks from road surfaces, ensuring high levels of ride comfort and agile handling as well as effectively lowering noise levels. The brake system employs tie rods for the brake booster, ensuring steady braking and control. The hill-start assist function maintains the braking function one second after the brake pedal is released in case of starting a car on a hilly road.
Suzuki Swift VVT
The the new model is the first of its kind during which a Suzuki employed Indian engineers to design a car that would compete in the global market. The design of the new Swift was previewed on the Concept S and Concept S2 concept cars at auto shows, in the years leading up to its launch. It's proportions & essential shape are unmistakely like the BMW MINI, due to the blacked-out A-pillars and bumper-car stance. The exterior shape is described by some as "1.5 box".
Despite Suzuki's long-standing relationship with General Motors (which itself had prompted the development of the very first Swift), the new Swift is entirely Suzuki, and not based on the GM Gamma platform. The prestigious British Autocar magazine gave the new Swift a favourable 4/5 stars in road test, badging it a "thoroughly impressive all-rounder". Mk4 Swift has received a 4 stars out of 5 rating in the EURO NCAP crash tests.
The standard equipment include leather steering wheel, dual air-bag, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), front disk brake with rear drum brake, sliding storage under passenger seat, single CD player.
Mkq4 Swift recorded above forecast sales. In Japan, sales figure doubled forecast. Mk4 Swift enjoyed healthy sales in India where a substantial percentage of the car is built with locally made components. Rapid sales of the new Swift model contributed to the 64% rise in Q1 profits for the Maruti corporation. Waiting period in India for the car is at least 3 months.
