On the 30th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse brand, the German tuner Hamann Motorsport has decided to develop a tuning kit for the Stuttgart model.
The tuners at Hamann have modified the G55 AMG Supercharged model by adding "some" power to the stock engine. After the engine received a chip tuning (recalibration of the ECU) the G55 AMG develops 600 bhp and 782 Nm of torque between 3000 and 5200 rpm. Withe the improvements, the car reaches 60 mph from a stand still in just 5.1 seconds and top a maximum speed of 261 km/h.
As a plus to these upgrades, the G55 AMG has received a new trailer coupling system, a 6 pipes exhaust and an optimized gear box.
When it comes to the exterior, the team from Hamann has developed a new body kit which improves the aerodynamic coefficient of the car. As you may know already, Hamann never forgets about the interior, so they have designed new seats and they have created a two-tone interior. Also, the interior has a lot of fine aluminum and carbon fibre insertions that catch the eye.
